Frequently Asked Questions
What foreign clients ask us most.
Can you handle my case without me coming to Türkiye?+
Yes, as a rule. With a power of attorney issued at a Turkish consulate — or notarized and apostilled in your country — litigation, enforcement, property and company matters are conducted by us on your behalf. Limited exceptions, such as personal appearance in uncontested divorce hearings, are flagged at the outset.
Do you work in English?+
Yes. Consultations, written fee quotes and file reporting are provided in English; certified translations of Turkish documents are arranged when needed.
How are your fees determined?+
Fees depend on the type and scope of the matter and take the Turkish Bar minimum fee tariff into account. You receive a written quote after the initial consultation; bank transfer details are only ever shared together with that written quote.
Is my foreign divorce or court judgment valid in Türkiye?+
Not automatically. Foreign judgments generally take effect in Türkiye only after recognition or enforcement proceedings before Turkish courts. We handle both, including the recognition of foreign divorce decrees in the civil registry.
How do I safely buy property as a foreigner?+
Never transfer money before the title deed record, zoning status and the seller’s authority are verified. We conduct this due diligence, draft or review the sale agreement and attend the title deed transfer on your behalf.
How long will my case take?+
It depends on the matter and the court’s workload; we give you a realistic timeline after reviewing your file and keep you updated in writing at every significant stage.
